Opening Our Edinburgh Restaurant in 2021

Considered a hidden gem in Edinburgh, our Marchmont restaurant is inspired by the local produce of Scotland, while working hard to bring Asian inspired dishes to Scotland.

Pomelo Edinburgh opened in 2021 by Head Chef and owner, Jun Au, and has grown from a "postage stamp kitchen" [TheTimes 2021] to our current premises at 27 Sciennes Road just a five minute walk from the meadows. Since opening, we've been honoured to receive awards such as Chinese Restaurant of the Year by the Asian Catering Federation (ACF) 2023 and OFM runner up 2022.

Modern Chinese Food

We are proud to serve unique dishes and are certain you won’t find anywhere else quite like us in the city. Our dishes are influenced by both modern Asian dining and Western classics as seen in our Red Curry Aubergine Parmesan or our Pineapple Bun Fried Chicken Sandwich.

The desserts at our Edinburgh restaurant are made in house as well from fan favourites like our peach and mango hand-pie to our Ube Cheesecake. If you love one of our desserts, we're happy to make it special for you to take away too.

We offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options, there is plenty of choice for those with dietary requirements. However we do caution for those with any severe allergies that cross contact is possible.
